  1. “I have nothing but positive things to say about my three month stay at Carmen House. The nurses and nurse assistants were friendly and looked after my needs promptly and efficiently. Accommodations are nice (big screen TV on my room) and the meal plan is great. If I could rate Carmen House with stars, they’d get five out of five.”

  2. “Our sister has been lucky enough to be a patient at Carmen House for the past seven years. Through all the health scares the trials and tribulations, notably the pandemic, she has done extraordinarily well. The administration and staff have been nothing short of professional, skilled and go beyond the call of duty in their loving approach towards her and our family. We are so grateful for the care our sister has received, and we highly recommend anyone needing a skilled nursing facility, with the combination of care and show of dignity for their patients, Carmen House is a loving choice.”

  3. “I am a resident at Carmen House. I have been blessed to live here for 8 years and the care I receive is top notch. I am treated with respect and dignity. The doctors and nursing team work very hard to make sure that all our needs are met. I told the hospital to get me a bed a Carmen House – because I’m not going anywhere else. The staff here are the best.”

  4. “My family is blessed for having found Carmen House after my son suffered from traumatic brain injury from a motorcycle accident. The love, care and support given by the staff on a day to day basis is beyond compare. My son has a trache and on a tube feeding and the staff always made sure that his needs are always met. My gratitude for their compassion and companionship in light of how my son should be medically treated and attended to.
Praise and thank God for Carmen House.”

  5. “I had the pleasure of bringing activity to homes for ten + years. Before pandemic, I serviced 39 different care homes and I have seen it all. At this particular home, I always saw great care, food and residents met their special needs. I will always recommend this facility to people who need care – excellent administration🏆🏆🏆❤️”

  6. My father was diagnosed with stage IV anaplastic thyroid cancer, and during treatment he suffered a severe, life-threatening reaction to a checkpoint inhibitor medication. After eight weeks in the hospital, three of them in the ICU, he required round-the-clock care. He developed Myasthenia Gravis, needed a G-tube, was unable to hold his head up unassisted, and experienced altered mental status, among many other complex medical needs.

Because of the extent of his care requirements, only one skilled nursing facility would accept him. After visiting that facility, I knew immediately it was not a place where I could feel comfortable sending my father, yet he was scheduled to be discharged the very next day, and I felt out of options.

In what truly felt like the eleventh hour, I was referred to Emily at Carmen House. She was an answered prayer. I explained my father’s situation and everything he would need, and her calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate demeanor immediately put me at ease. For the first time, I felt the overwhelming burden of my father’s care begin to lift. She accommodated my schedule, and I was able to tour Carmen House that same day. Within the first five minutes, I knew this was where my father belonged. The home was clean, peaceful, and welcoming, and the staff made an immediate impression. My dad moved in the very next day.

My father spent the final three months of his life at Carmen House, and I thank God every day that he was there. He truly thrived in that environment. His altered mental status resolved completely, he regained strength and was able to walk with a walker, his G-tube was removed, and he was able to eat and drink normally again, outcomes we never thought possible.

Sadly, his cancer eventually became more aggressive, and we exhausted all treatment options. But because of Carmen House, his final moments were filled with dignity, comfort, and genuine care.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Carmen House to anyone seeking care for themselves or a loved one. I visited daily, often multiple times a day, and called at all hours for updates. I was always met with kindness, patience, and a warm smile. The staff became family, and I could truly feel the love they had for my father.

Thank you, Carmen House, for all that you do. You are truly an answered prayer.
